Housing prices are continuing to skyrocket and the real estate market is the hot topic of conversation everywhere.  Tell someone you are a Realtor© and you are guaranteed a 15 minute conversation with a perfect stranger about people they know who have sold or bought.  Homes selling for $100,000 over asking price seem commonplace and are the fodder of real estate war stories everywhere.

This market provides a rare opportunity for a certain type of home owner however.  There are some homes out there that have previously been challenged to rise to the pricing echelons of similarly sized homes.  These are the ones with features that normally would not be attractive to the average buyer.  Homes located on busy corners, homes with sloping yards and homes located in demographically challenged areas – ie: high student rental areas -- are just a few examples.   These often do not garner the interest of buyers when there are several other choices on the market.  As a result of this, prices are lower for these than in other neighbourhoods.

If you are living in a home such as this, now may be the perfect time for you to sell.  You probably paid less for your current home than a similarly sized one due the reasons listed above.  With little inventory currently available, your home may have become a hot commodity.

If you would like a free no obligation evaluation of your home and get some real facts on today’s market, please feel free to contact me.  It would be my pleasure to be of assistance.
